I have loved playing music for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a house where guitars were everywhere I could see, and I naturally picked one up eventually. I also started playing the drum set, and my high school and college experiences with music truly took my passion to another level. My teaching experience stems back to my undergraduate degree from JMU, and the current Masters program I am in at JMU to get a teaching degree. I chose the profession of being a teacher because I always want to be helping people around me. Teaching music allows me to bridge these two things together and teach people what is so special about playing music.
