Kaitlyn began playing guitar at the age of 15, but her love for the instrument began with playing Rock Band Wii as a kid. Over the years, she developed her skills further by taking private lessons and studying music therapy in the UMKC Conservatory. She has gained teaching experience through working at Harmony Project KC and performance experience through accompanying UMKC choirs and theater productions. Though Kaitlyn can teach many different genres of music, her personal favorites are classic rock and folk, which have great influence on her style of playing. Kaitlyn loves music because of the emotional connection formed while listening and playing with others, and loves teaching music because she wishes to share this appreciation with other young aspiring musicians especially the Rock Band enthusiasts!.
