About Me

I’m Selma — a vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist who cares deeply about music as a way to connect with yourself and the world around you. I started singing and writing songs when I was 8, after my first guitar lesson. But I didn’t really start taking music seriously until I was 19, when it became something I truly committed to and grew into. Since then, I’ve released an EP on streaming platforms, played multiple music festivals, and even auditioned for American Idol last year. For me, music has always been about the experience — the journey it takes you on, not just the end result. That’s how I approach teaching too. I want lessons to feel open, encouraging, and real. A place where you can explore, make mistakes, and find your own voice without pressure. I teach voice, beginner guitar, and songwriting, and I love helping students discover their sound and confidence in a way that feels natural to them. More than anything, I hope to share in that journey with you — and help you fall in love with music in your own way.
