James is a baritone, voice teacher, and vocal pedagogue based in Boston, Massachusetts. James enjoys teaching all ages, with experience teaching adults, children, and adolescents in public and private education settings. James’ teaching focuses on healthy, sustainable technique to help singers sing their favorite songs comfortably and confidently. All while welcoming conversation and curiosity in lessons so students feel heard and actively engaged in their learning. His studio is a safe space where students can be their authentic selves and feel comfortable to make mistakes. James holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from Keene State College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
