About Me

I am a music educator, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist with a lifelong passion for music. Growing up in a musical family, I was surrounded by music from an early age, which inspired me to begin studying violin at the age of five. I continued playing violin until I was fourteen, developing a strong musical foundation that would influence my future as both a performer and educator. At thirteen, I taught myself to play the piano, and over the years I have explored several other instruments as well. I spent some time teaching myself the banjo and have been playing the ukulele for approximately four years. These experiences have helped me develop a broad appreciation for different musical styles and approaches to learning. As a vocalist, I have been actively involved in choral music since I was sixteen years old. I have had the opportunity to perform with professional ensembles including Hill Country Cantibus and Umanità, experiences that have enriched my musicianship and deepened my love for collaborative music-making. I hold a Master of Music Education degree with a vocal emphasis and have dedicated my career to helping others grow as musicians. My teaching experience includes three years in public education and two years in higher education, where I have worked with students of varying ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. My greatest passion is helping others discover and develop their own musical interests and abilities. I believe that every person has the potential to grow musically through dedication, encouragement, and meaningful instruction, and I strive to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music in all of my students.
