About Me

Hi, my name is Viaidys and I am a professional Piano Teacher and Oboist from Cuba. I have been a student of music for over 20 years. My musical influences include classical music, jazz, and contemporary styles, and I also enjoy music therapy and music education. My teaching style can best be described as patient, encouraging, and personalized. My teaching philosophy is that every student can learn and enjoy music when lessons are adapted to their individual needs and goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn piano technique, music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and performance skills. I like to tell my students that progress comes from consistency, practice, and enjoying the learning process. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students gain confidence and develop a lifelong love for music. One of my favorite performances was playing as a professional oboist and sharing music with different audiences. My students love that I create a fun, positive, and supportive learning environment. I primarily teach piano, but I can also teach music theory, ear training, beginner oboe, and music appreciation. My approach as a teacher is to inspire creativity while building strong musical foundations. I have over 16 years of teaching experience and have worked in Cuba, Mexico, and the United States since 2014. I am also a certified Music Therapist with 7 years of experience.
