Gracie has always loved singing. From the age of 3 she began to sing in the church choir, continuing on through grade school. She began to partake in productions outside of school after she was cast in her first professional production of “Annie” with Agape Players in 2016 at the Infinite Energy Arena. It was then that she found her love for musicals truly. Unfortunately during COVID, Gracie’s favorite company to perform with went under. Thankfully, in 2021, Gracie found another company to perform with at the Strand in the Marietta Square alongside her school productions. She entered Highschool shortly after, immediately joining her school’s Thespian Society, Drama club, and Chorus. In the fall of her senior year, Gracie’s choral director noticed a classical tone in her voice. He recommended private lessons for her with a teacher that he knew. Gracie slowly began to find her love for opera and classical musical theatre. Her “opera tone” is still not fully developed, although she is seemingly on the course to becoming a “Dramatic Mezzo Soprano” voice type. The following semester she achieved 1st place at the Regional Literary Meet Competition in Girls Solo as well as a 2nd place in Humourous Interpretation. She later scored 5th place at the 6A State Competition. Judges note that in her pieces, “Lasciatemi Moirre” by Monteverdi and “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserablès, she had phenomenal tempo and stylistic choices. Both judges also scored her 30/30 for Stage Presence, Choice of Music, and Artistry. By the time she had graduated Highschool with a seal in Fine Arts, she had landed 4 lead roles, assistant directed 2 musicals, lead the mezzo-soprano section in chorus, assistant-choreographed 1 musical, achieved numerous Shuler Award Nominations with her troupe, performed in 11 musicals/plays, and performed the “National Anthem” various times representing her school at events. Gracie was also the president of Drama Club and Thespian Society her senior year. After graduation she continues to perform in various productions/events, and planning to do more. She has been studying at Chattahoochee Tech online since fall 2025, and hoping to transfer to KSU in Spring 2026 to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance. After she graduates college, Gracie hopes to teach students about voice, music, and theatre at a school. For now, she’s excited to teach younger children under 12 about their instruments!
