About Me

Hi, I'm George. I've been playing drums and percussion for over a decade. I graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and more recently earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Artist Development & Entrepreneurship and a Master’s degree in Live Entertainment Management from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Throughout my career, I have performed with touring bands, played venues across the country, and worked extensively in the live music industry. As an instructor, I enjoy helping students build confidence while developing strong musical fundamentals. I tailor lessons to each student's goals and experience level, whether they are picking up sticks for the first time, preparing for auditions, joining a school band, or looking to improve their technique and musicianship. Lessons can include rhythm, reading music, drum set technique, coordination, groove development, improvisation, performance skills, and music theory. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and goal-oriented. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging and connected to the music they enjoy. Above all, I strive to create a positive learning environment that helps students grow as musicians while having fun in the process. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!
