About Me

Hi, my name is Vlad from republic of Georgia. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences include folk music and I also enjoy Georgian Chant. My teaching style can best be described as culturally rooted, and polyphony-focused. I view the guitar not just as an instrument, but as a gateway to preserving and bringing to life the rich, ancient traditions of Georgian folk and Estrada music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to translate the complex, breathtaking harmonies of Georgian polyphony onto the guitar fretboard, master the distinct rhythmic drive of traditional folk songs, and capture the lyrical, expressive essence of Georgian Estrada music. I like to tell my students that the guitar is a polyphonic orchestra in your hands, you are singing multiple voices at once. My favorite performance was rearranging a classic Georgian folk piece for a live ensemble, blending the ancient vocal tradition with modern acoustic guitar instrumentation. My students love that I bring 10 years of deep, specialized knowledge to the table while keeping the atmosphere patient, encouraging, and deeply inspiring. I primarily teach Georgian folk and Estrada music on the guitar, but I can also teach classical techniques, fingerstyle, and general music theory through the lens of rich cultural traditions..
