About Me

My name is Ricky, and music has been a central part of my life since I was five years old. As a percussionist, educator, composer, and performer, I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of musical excellence and the transformative power of music education. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas UCA, where I developed a strong foundation in percussion performance, conducting, music pedagogy, and ensemble leadership. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a band director, teaching students of all ages and helping them develop not only as musicians but also as confident, disciplined individuals. As a performer, I have experience in a variety of musical settings, ranging from concert ensembles and percussion groups to contemporary and commercial music performances. My passion for percussion has allowed me to explore diverse musical styles while continually refining my craft. Whether I am teaching, performing, composing, or mentoring young musicians, I believe music has the power to inspire, connect, and transform lives. My goal is to share that passion with others and help students and audiences alike discover the joy, discipline, and creativity that music brings.
