Hello! My name is Makayla and I am a professional bassoonist originally from Waterloo, IA. I grew up playing piano, saxophone, and bassoon, and love to teach them all! I gear each of my lessons to the individual student's needs and passions. I strive to provide a comfortable learning environment to push my students to new limits, supporting their creativity and unique path. I am devoted to helping my students become independent, thoughtful musicians who approach their passions with curiosity and excitement.
