About Me

When I started taking piano lessons in elementary school, I quickly realized the traditional classical method was not for me. My name is Ori and I'm a multi-genre award winning pianist, composer, and arranger specializing in jazz, blues, country, rock, and pop music. I play professionally on the Austin music scene and am pursuing a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies at UT Austin. I have experience teaching music students across a wide range of skill levels from people who can't find middle C on a piano to people who are majoring in music in college. I'm passionate about pursuing unique methods of teaching music that better prepare students to thrive in playing the music they love, making everything from improvisation to music theory to songwriting more approachable and fun. The most important thing to me is that you as my student have the opportunity to steer your education towards the music you are passionate about. I will design a custom learning path tailored to supporting you in reaching your goals!
