I'm 31 years old and have been playing guitar for about 18 years. My influences are many but I tend to lean toward classic rock, i.e. Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, etc. I really enjoy writing my own songs and always discovering new things on the guitar. When I teach beginners I like to do so through songs they might like or suggest because playing should be fun and I think it's easier to learn the root chords through a song you know in your head. I really like playing pieces I write, too; and, that has been a huge part of picking up the guitar as well.
