Beginner - Intermediate
We will treat music as both an art and a science. Expect to dig into the actual math of audio waveforms, signal processing, and what makes a mix structurally sound. Whether we are locking in the groove for a beginning of a beat, to doing foley and textures, there are no wrong answers in the sound design phase. To get the most out of our time, please have the following to every lesson: Your gear: Your laptop, your preferred DAW, and a reliable pair of studio headphones. Organized files: Have your stems, samples, and project files ready to go so we don't spend lesson time searching for kicks. Patience: Mixing and mastering are games of millimeters. You must be willing to make tiny adjustments, listen, and adjust again. Mutual Expectations A great studio environment requires focus and mutual respect. What you can expect from me: No shortcuts: I will teach you the exact, manual techniques used to achieve professional loudness and clarity without destroying your track's dynamics. Honest, objective feedback: I will analyze your mixes directly and tell you exactly where the frequencies are clashing or where the energy is getting lost.
