My name is Maria, and I am currently entering my senior year at the University of New Mexico studying Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. I have been singing since middle school, and in high school I trained with the Santa Fe Opera’s Young Voices program. My favorite music to sing is art song and opera, but I also love musical theatre! I have been in various operas over the years, and just finished singing the role of Eustazio in UNM Opera Theatre’s production of “Rinaldo”. I recently finished a study abroad program in Germany and Austria focusing on German art song. I love music and it is such an important part of my life, that I want to share my knowledge and passion for singing with my students! I look forward to sharing what I know and helping students to grow in their musicianship and artistry.
