About Me

Since I was 8 years old, I've always been playing an instrument. Music has always fascinated me. When I started playing guitar, I quickly became addicted to it. To this day, over 20 years later, I still have a deep passion and respect for the instrument. I have had multiple instructors that taught me the fundamentals and various techniques. My instructors helped introduce to so many different styles of music from blues, jazz, classical, Spanish music, rock, and others. I have also played in many different bands on my own from punk bands, jazz band, playing in a pit band for a musical, rock cover bands, thrash metal, progressive metal, and others. In addition to having explored many different techniques, being exposed to playing in many different styles, and spending time with many different instructors, I believe I have a lot to offer as a guitar teacher. I'm very excited to share my passion for guitar with other people!

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Lessons will take place in a home office / studio. I have amps, modelers, speakers, and all of the gear we'll need. Simply bring your guitar and be ready to jam! It may also be helpful to bring a folder to keep tabs and sheet music organized.

Formal Education:

Received a bachelor's from Siena College and masters degree from SUNY Albany

Private Education:

Studied with Chris Mahoney in Poughkeepsie, NY for several years. Studied rock, jazz, blues, classical, music theory, and various techniques. Studied classical guitar with Thomas Coffey in Tampa, FL for 1 year.

Performing Experience:

I have performance experience in many different settings including open mic nights, local rock/punk/metal shows opening for larger acts, and some jazz shows in book shops and auditoriums.
