About Me

Charles began playing trumpet at the age of 9. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking private lessons on trumpet, piano, and guitar! He gained performance experience by performing in his elementary, middle and high school’s concert, jazz, and marching bands in middle and high school. While attending Stony Brook University and Long Island University he began playing at such venues as jazz cafes, restaurants, beach and park concerts, as well as weddings and churches. Though Charles can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical, jazz, and gospel, which had great influence on his style of playing. Charles loves music because he was introduced to it by his Dad, and loves teaching music because of his excellent teachers in the past.
