About Me

Nia has been teaching children from adolescence to adulthood. She's sang in choirs from age 3 up until her early 20's when she decided to become a solo act. Occasionally you can find her accompanying bands like Stevie Rose, The Diamonds, and other local artists. Her favorite thing about music is its universal expression. Though she has formal training from the fines arts school she attended in middle school, the Fred Fox School of Music and over twenty years of singing, leading, and directing church choirs/bands/praise team, she prefers an intuitive style. Her primary instrument is Bb clarinet. From there she learned piano, bass guitar, saxophone, bass clarinet, and oboe by ear. When she worked in a preschool she took her accumulation of skills to share the joy music brings to toddlers. She also worked closely with the young adult choir as music director where she provided harmonies, music selection, accompaniment, and breath work. At Victory World Church in Hamilton Mill, she worked alongside school-age children to build their performance skills and advance their singing techniques. She looks forward to helping your little star shine brighter!
