Katie has always loved music from an early age. She began playing piano at the age of five and began singing in show choirs and theater groups by the age of six! Her musical influences include bands such as Evanescence and musicians like Kelly Clarkson. Katie's favorite thing about music is how versatile it is and her favorite thing about teaching music is inspiring people of all ages to play and perform their favorite songs. One of her favorite teaching experiences was working with a young, terrified vocalist. She had terrible stage fright but Katie worked with her and now she performs on stage regularly!
