About Me

Eric has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano at the age of 6, and moved over to drums when he was 9. He continued his journey by taking private drum lessons, and participating in all music ensembles throughout grammar school and high school. Eric attended the University of Miami, where he earned his degree in Studio Music and Performance. Since college, he has continued to play drums with local groups, and teach percussion. Eric has always loved creating and performing music. His favorite thing about teaching music is helping others create the music they love. One of his favorite teaching experiences was when he started teaching a kid who was on the verge of being kicked out of high school band as a freshman, and in his junior year, the kid was Percussion Principle, the drummer for the Jazz band, and he won the state snare drum competition. When taking lessons with Eric you can expect to learn proper technique, how to read music, and how to continually improve your skills.
