About Me

Sarah is a piano instructor and accompanist with over 13 years of piano experience and a passion for helping young musicians develop a lifelong love of music. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in General Music at Southwest Baptist University, where she is the recipient of the university’s highest music scholarship. Sarah has received numerous honors for her piano performance, including First Place in Sacred Piano Solo, First Place in Sacred Piano Duet, and Second Place in Classical Piano Solo at the 2025 Mid-America Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts Competition. Her sacred piano duet also qualified for national competition. A student of Melinda Jones and a participant in Faith Bible College Music Camps, Sarah has performed extensively in recitals and was featured as a soloist with the Southwest Baptist University Wind Symphony. She currently serves as an accompanist at Southwest Baptist University, collaborating with vocal and instrumental students for juries, performances, and competitions. She has also accompanied on chorale tours and for students competing in MSHSAA events. Sarah specializes in teaching beginner and intermediate piano students ages 5–12. Her lessons focus primarily on classical piano while also incorporating hymn playing and worship music. She strives to create a patient, encouraging, and structured learning environment where students can build strong musical foundations, develop confidence, and cultivate a deep appreciation for both performing and listening to music. Lessons are offered primarily online, with limited in-person availability during the summer months.
