About Me

Ashley La Montagne is a music educator and choral director dedicated to excellence in musicianship, artistry, and inclusive music-making. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University, where she studied voice with Dr. Stephanie Weiss, sang with the ASU Concert Choir for three years, and served as President of the ASU ACDA Student Chapter. She is an active member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Ashley brings over six years of experience teaching private voice and piano lessons and previously served for five years as a staff musician at Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona. Her professional training includes a season-long internship with the Arizona Girls Choir and international study at the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, where she participated in the German Lieder program under the mentorship of Dr. Linda DiFiore. As a performer, Ashley has appeared with Arizona Opera Company as the understudy for Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and as a chorus member in La Bohème and Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Valley Opera Company. She has performed at Carnegie Hall as a member of the Young Adult International Choir and was selected twice for the Colorado All-State Choir. Ashley is currently working towards a Masters of Music at the University of Denver as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She is passionate about fostering musical excellence, artistic expression, and meaningful community through choral and vocal music education.
