About Me

Hi, my name is Brayden, and I have played the guitar for over 10 years. I started playing when I was 11 after my older brother gave me his old guitar, and my mom signed me up for lessons once she saw that I couldn’t put it down. Over the years I dedicated many hours every day to unlocking the fretboard to be able to play any song I wanted. For the past few years, I have been playing lead electric guitar for the Recovery Church Movement at their largest campus out of a worldwide total of 130 here in delray beach, with audiences reaching over 1000 people total in person and online every week. My influences in music have always been guitarists who push the limits of technique and sound, some of my favorites include Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Keaton Goldwire, and Marty Friedman. I have always loved music and I also love teaching. My personal philosophy is that anyone can learn music if they put in the time to practice and study, and I want to help students discover their voice on the guitar. In my lessons, we will start by learning the basics, including the anatomy of the guitar, basic chords, finger techniques, beginner scale shapes, and more! At an intermediate level, we will work on understanding more advanced chord shapes and different ways of voicing the chords we have studied, more advanced scale shapes, and finger exercises for speed or strength to improve technique based on whether you prefer to play acoustic or electric. Advanced students who already have a good amount of guitar experience are welcome to let me know what areas they would like to improve, whether that be techniques such as sweep picking or legato, music theory topics, how to play live music, or creative topics like improvisation or composition, and I can help tailor lessons to your needs. No matter what level your at or how long you have been playing, there is one thing that we all have in common: we are here to play music! That’s exactly why no matter what level you’re at, we will incorporate the music you like into our lessons. I believe that if you aren’t learning to play the music you like, then the journey to finding your sound becomes lifeless and dull, and thats why we will focus more on the style that you want to play. Whatever your taste in music, skill level, or experience with music is, I am excited to help you reach the next stage in your journey to mastering the guitar and discovering your individual sound!
