About Me

Emma has always loved music from an early age. She began singing in middle school and continued her education by attending and graduating from Wingate University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Emma's favorite thing about music is the satisfaction of making something beautiful and meaningful. Her favorite thing about teaching music is watching her students light up when they recognize their growth as well as getting to know her students and their music preferences. Two of her favorite teaching experiences include leading a choir through their first music performance adjudication as well as helping a young student confidently access her once-hesitant voice during student teaching. When taking lessons with Ms. you can expect routine vocal warm ups, technical training and application of vocal techniques through various genres of music. Before lessons begin, Ms. likes to schedule consultations with her students in order to meet them and their guardian if under 18, learn their musical goals and get an understanding of where the student’s voice is developmentally.
