Jaya began singing at the age of 1. Over the years, she developed her skills through formal training, songwriting, music production, arranging, and earning a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Music from the University of Texas at El Paso. She gained performance experience throughout the El Paso area by performing at local venues and events, as well as with ensembles including the UTEP Chorale, Chamber Singers, Opera Workshop, and Commercial Music Ensemble. She has also performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall. While Jaya enjoys teaching a variety of musical styles, her personal favorites are R&B, pop, jazz, gospel, and K-pop, all of which have influenced her approach to performing and teaching. Jaya loves music because it allows her to connect with people, express emotions, and tell meaningful stories. She loves teaching music because helping students discover their own creativity and confidence is incredibly rewarding. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced musician looking to refine your skills, Jaya is committed to helping you grow as a performer and artist.
