I have taught over 500 students between 1990 and 2012. I have played everything from opera orchestra pits to thrash metal bands. My methods are pretty simple. Find out what the student's goals are and apply the lessons accordingly. In the process, other styles of music are introduced. This way not only is the student reaching their own goals, they can be ready to take on any challenges that come up.

I played my first gig at age 14. In the 45 years after that I have played over 3,000 gigs. The majority were rock and blues bands. Others were parades, wind ensembles, orchestras, percussion ensembles, avant garde ensembles and big bands
