With advanced training in trombone performance and a strong background in brass pedagogy, I am passionate about guiding students to reach their full musical potential through a blend of technical precision, expressive artistry, and creative exploration. During my graduate studies at West Texas A&M; University, I served as a Graduate Assistant, teaching private trombone lessons and assisting in ensemble rehearsals. This experience refined my instructional approach—emphasizing clear fundamentals while encouraging musical individuality. I have also performed extensively, including with the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra and UTC Community Orchestra, which strengthened my understanding of ensemble collaboration and performance discipline. Beyond my academic and performance background, I bring over a decade of leadership and mentorship experience that enhances my teaching philosophy. Whether coaching a brass section or working one-on-one, I strive to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel both challenged and inspired.
