Sarah began playing trumpet in 5th grade. Over the years, she participated in middle school and high school band and eventually marching band. She majored in instrumental music education at the University of Akron, and she is certified to teach EVERY band and orchestra instrument, as well as piano and voice! She gained performance experience in college through the trumpet, performing in national competitions at the University of Delaware, University of Colorado-Boulder, and Texas A&M University. Though Sarah can teach many different genres of music, her favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, The Beatles, Daft Punk, and many others. Sarah loves music because of the way you can grow many outside skills through music and loves teaching music because it gives an avenue to express yourself where words may not be enough.
