About Me
I just moved back from the Twin Cities where I taught private piano, vocal, and trumpet lessons in the student's homes. I also taught an art class in a classroom setting for elementary students.
My musical background is quite diverse. I studied classical music since I was eight years old and started studying jazz/rock/blues at McNally Smith College of Music four years ago. Since then I've been playing in a band and teaching regularly.
I just moved back to Cedar Rapids and may be working as a one on one tutor for children at Learning RX but it would be part time and it would be easy to work students around that schedule.

Experience Teaching:
Along Came Music - I had 12 students and I would drive to their homes for half hour lessons. Those were mostly beginners and it was really exciting to see them get so excited about music! Watch Me Draw! - I taught hour long art classes as an after school program. I would draw pictures step-by-step as the students followed along. Afterwards we would discuss shading techniques with crayons and chalk pastels. The Riff Factory - I taught for one summer in a studio in Maplewood Mn. I had a couple vocal students and I would run master classes on Saturdays where all of the students would jam together. Anamosa Middle School - While I was in high school, I would teach trumpet lessons to the middle school students.
