Review About Me
I began play drums as most students do, through elementry school. I was introduced in the Fourth grade, and had recieved private lessons from sixth grade into college. I have been directed under three different private teachers, all very helpful and great guys, this helped me alot with broadening my range of styles. The first song I was taught on the drums was Twist and Shout by the Beatles, which kick started teaching myself by ear as well. Led Zeppelin (John Bonham), the Who (Keith Moon), The Police (Stewart Copeland) were huge infuences on me growing up. Now I have an interest in any type of music that has a technical beat. My current musical interests are The Mars Volta, The Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Giraffes? Giraffes!, The Murcury Program, 65 Day of Static, etc... Im currently involved with one band, my east coast homies.

Alex Ji. is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons .Formal Education:
Played in (Maryland) Concert Band from Elementry (West Friendship), to Middle (Mount View), to High School (Marriotts Ridge). Also, made it into Virginia Techs Music School but chose a different career path.
Private Education:
I have been privately taught by three different instructors, for a total of 8 years.
Performing Experience:
Concert Band Recitals, Solos, Percussian Ensambles, and Auditions. I have also shows with my band Monsters of the Antipodes in several Maryland venues, Gypsy Music Festival (Virginia), and the Woodlum stage at Ellicott City Fall & Spring Fest.
Experience Teaching:
I taught under Damen Formans Music Acadamy for a year while I was going to Community College for Music Tech. I taught all ages while there.
