I'm currently a public school teacher that plays and writes songs on the side. I've been teaching guitar for 20 years. I believe in preparing students for whatever their goals are from gaining a college scholarship in a guitar program to just learning the basics to playing a few songs. I teach music theory, sight reading and ear training within guitar lessons. Musical influences include bands such as Dream Theater, Iron Maiden and AC/DC along with musicians such as Beethoven, the LA Guitar Quartet and Steve Vai. I also enjoy classical music and studied under Michael Chapdelaine at the University of New Mexico guitar program. Whatever style or genre you are interested in, I can help you.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect thorough teaching and explanation along with homework. The homework is essential in skill development and learning.
Formal Education:
Master's Degrees in Education and Government from New Mexico State, Bachelor's degree in psychology from Wright State. I studied Classical Guitar at the University of New Mexico.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in numerous bands, playing mostly hard rock but have included classical, funk and blues songs. I am currently playing in the band "KillDevil Theory"
Experience Teaching:
20 years of experience in private lessons along with teaching guitar in Alamogordo public schools for 3 years.
