About Me

I currently sing with FCCLA choir and have sung professionally as a professional chorister and soloist in NYC in many concerts and church performances. 14 years of teaching (started when I was a student myself). I have performed professionally in concerts across the USA. BA in music, post graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music. Studied voice with top instructors including Noelle Rodgers, Mark Oswald, Mark Janas (piano and composition), and Janina Ceasar (piano). I studied method acting with Brandy Hotchner. Ongoing studies of learning methods and psychology. I studied classical voice and began by teaching a few friends. Over time I started teaching professionally. I developed my teaching more from studying with opera teachers world over. I constantly read articles about vocal technique, anatomy, and am trying new things. I produce music as well. You can see that at the website. My students have appeared on Broadway and TV. They also sing and perform at local venues across the country. One has gone from simple songs to now singing challenging rock material and even opera. Another is applying classical technique to a pop career. Another took her voice-over career from local to national after I helped her control her accent. I, myself, am a singer. I have performed with Broadway veterans, NY Opera members, and have worked as a professional choral singer and soloist in NYC. I saw one of my students go from shy to confident. She was struggling with her Polish accent. After some time working with me, her confidence soared and she started getting roles. Another one of my voice over students went from being local to national. One of my high school students went from barely being able to sing to having the lead in his high school musical! He is now growing as a musician and singer as he has begun taking music theory and piano lessons in addition to voice.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

First lesson we'll do some talking to see where you are and where you want to be. After that, we'll do some vocalizing to get you started, explore your voice and discover how you learn while you immediately begin implementing the techniques I teach. If we have time, we'll work on a song or two, but the first lesson is primarily vocalizing. With each session, we'll do a similar process, introducing increasingly complex vocalizing and teaching you how to apply those to your music. I also address the psychology of singing where we will get in touch with the lyrics, your own experiences, and using method acting techniques to become more connected to the music and your audience as well as build your performance confidence.

Performing Experience:

Soloist and professional chorister in NYC for 13 years. I sang for the televised masses at Ss Simon Jude in Phoenix, performed with Broadway veterans in the NY Fringe Festival, professional soloist and chorister in Los Angeles, CA, produced 3 albums, singles, and an EP
