About Me

My special expertise is instructing in exact performing technique and effective practice technique. I also teach improv, beginning at the basics.

Elan C has over 30 years of music experience in the Palm Harbor area.

Elan C is proficient in and teaches Orchestral Lessons .



Formal Education:

Master of Music in Composition and Violin from Univ. of South Florida.

Private Education:

Direct instruction from Liz Carroll, Texas Shorty, Pauline Oliveros and others.

Performing Experience:

Performed with many bands, including my own folk trio and quartet. Played in many musical theater productions, including Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. resented Blues fiddle workshops at Port Townsend Blues Festival. Did several lecture performances for the Humanities Council..

Experience Teaching:

I've taught for decades, both violin and fiddle. Most of my students have been adults or older children.
