Matthew Os

Matt has been playing guitar for over 10 years. Experienced in many different genres, including classical, blues, rock and roll, and metal, Matt can help you learn whatever style you wish to play! 

Matt's love for music and the guitar began at an early age. As a child the radio would constantly be playing, and by the age of 14 Matt knew that he was destined to be a musician. Picking up the guitar for the first time at that age, Matt began his first band in high school. The band was successful, playing many gigs, but unfortunately the band broke up when the members all left for college.

In 2004 Matt began his studies of classical music at Guilford College, studying classical guitar with the fantastic teacher Kami Rowan. In 2007 Matt began to consider graduate school, applying and being accepted  to such prestigious schools as Peabody, Yale, Julliard, and FSU. In 2008 Matt began study with Professor Bruce Holzman, world renowned guitar pedagogue, at FSU. He anticipates completion of his Masters Degree in guitar performance in 2010. 

During his tenure at FSU Matt met up with another guitarist with whom he would soon start another band. A year later and the band is enjoying success in the local metal scene. This band is DNR, who has recently relocated to Jacksonville, FL.

Matt's ultimate goal is to share his love of all types of music and his experience as a musician with you or anyone who is interested in music! He looks forward to sharing and spreading this love to anyone interested, and can't wait to meet you!
