"I’m a Conservatory trained guitar teacher that specializes in rock styles including classic rock, modern rock, metal and pretty much anything from the 50′s to the present. I can also teach beginning jazz and beginning classical students for those students that have jazz band or want to expand a little beyond their rock studies. My other specialty is music theory. At the Conservatory I learned alot of more advanced jazz theory which helped my playing in a big way. I’m a very patient teacher and I find creative ways to make learning fun for the younger ones. Alot of my students tend to be in the 10 to 15 yr old range so I work well with children and young teens. I also work with older teens and young adults looking to make music a career choice along with older adults picking up the guitar again for the pure enjoyment of playing. Since the beginning it wasn’t enough to just play my favorite songs. I wanted to know how these chords and scales worked. In learning this through the years I’ve figured out the most logical, no nonsense way of understanding it all. This in turn made me want to share what I learned with other like-minded players. "
