My names is Jiamin, and I enjoy teaching as well as playing piano. I have devoted myself into the professions of piano playing and teaching over the last 18 years through both formal/conventional education and private lessons, and I have recently obtained the degree of Master of Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Northern Iowa.
While I was a student, I have also been teaching. I have taught piano for 5 years when I was pursuing an undergraduate degree in Sydney, Australia, and I have then been serving as a piano instructor at various schools in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area in Iowa. Through teaching a diversified group of people of various ages and backgrounds, I have gained a habit of learning about my students and thus customize the lessons to best help them grow.
As a dedicated musician, I am eager to learn and passionate to teach.

Private Education:
Among the 18 Years of private piano lessons, I was lucky to be able to have three years with one of the top Australian pianists, Gerard Williams, and two years with the well-known UNI piano professor, Dmitri Vorobiev.

I started teaching piano since the second year in college, and I am currently serving as a piano instructor at the Community Music School of University of Northern Iowa. I am experienced in providing one-on-one private lessons as well as teaching in group settings.
