About Me

Hi, I have been playing drums since I was about 2 years old. I have always had a passion for the drums. I am in a few bands, such as a polka band for 14 years, and a jazz fusion band for about 14 years. I have played all styles of music from country to jazz to hip hop to metal to rock to dub step to electronic. I have a passion for teaching young and old alike. I have studied music all of my life, focusing on drums from grade school through college. I have studied at USC Jazz camps from 1, as well as USC percussion camp from 1. I have also sat in with the Falconers Air Force band. I am very professional in my lessons and love what I do. :)

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Hi, Students should expect out of these lesson's if they are having fun? Is this something they have a passion for? Really just having a good foundation as basics of how to play the drum set for the beginner students. Having a understanding of the drums. Really about having fun with it. All levels are different!!! Just over all the fun and love for music and drumming.

Formal Education:

I have been studying the drums since I was very young. I am self taught, Grade school snare drum advanced, Middle school Jazz and concert bands. High school Concert and Symphonic and Jazz bands. College all 3 jazz bands at CSU-Pueblo. Marching band in middle school sun city and High school and Pride City Marching band. Years active 1983-present.

Performing Experience:

I have been performing ever since I could remember. In grade school I used to put on my own concerts for the whole school. almost monthly. I've been playing in bands since I was about 9 to 10 years old, in high school bands at 9 years and 10 years old. I've played in bands all of my life. Currently I am in a Polka band been playing for them for 14 years now. almost 18 years, Jazz bands, all styles of bands for a long time now. I have a strong passion for the music I love music, I like to communicate it with other people all over the world. Share my drumming Talents with TC, GA, JW, a bunch of other people. I get a phone call I do the gig. I am very professional in my drumming careers. I do a bit of session work as well. I love performing. I have also been drumming in the Guitar Center drum offs for the past 10 years. (2016)

Hi, I have been teaching drum lessons with my private students now for about 12 years. In my city of Pueblo Co. All age types from young to Adult. I can teach all styles. I am easy to work with. If you have played drums for a while. I like to see where your at in your studies. If you have never played before we go over a long process on how to begin and approach the drums from holding the sticks to forming a drum beat. I use book methods, Videos, hands on 1 on 1. all types of methods. Approaching and understanding of the drum set. I would really like to have the opportunity to work with you.
