Yiqiao is a piano teacher for young children from China. She received her Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2014 and her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Jiangxi Normal University in 2011. She also taught children to play the piano while at Jiangxi Normal University. While attending the University of Central Oklahoma, she studied classical piano with Dr. Chindarat Charoenwongse-Shaw and jazz Piano with Dr. Dennis Borycki. She completed a piano pedagogy internship with Dr. Chindarat Charoenwongse-Shaw in 2014.
Yiqiao Y has over 3 years of music experience in the Durham area.
Yiqiao Y is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons .Formal Education:
I got my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2011 back to China. And I got my master's degree in Music Education, piano in Fall 2014 in University of Central Oklahoma.
Private Education:
I taught private piano lessons to young piano beginners for 2.5 years when I get my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education back to China. I took piano pedagogy class in Fall 2014 with my professor Chindarat at University of Central Oklahoma to teach both private and group piano beginner lessons for 6-8 years old children for one semester.
Performing Experience:
Basically, I had performing experience in master classes, local elementary school ensemble and local church events.
Experience Teaching:
I had experience on teaching young piano beginners, especially 6-8 years old children. My target age group for my current piano studio are young beginners and adult beginners.
