About Me

I've lived in Southwest Washington for the greatest portion of my life. Music has always been my greatest passion. My goal is to help students reach their full potential, so that they can fulfill their wildest musical dreams.

Zachary B has over 2 years of music experience in the Vancouver area.

Zachary B is proficient in and teaches Drum Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .

Formal Education:

I started taking piano lessons at the local music store at age 5. After a year, I stopped taking lessons, but resumed at the same location (but with a different teacher) nearly 10 years later. I went on for a few more years until I decided to switch to guitar lessons. That lasted for about 6 months. Many years later when I bought myself a drum kit, I had a couple sessions with a drum instructor to train out any bad habits I was developing during my self-training.

Private Education:

A large part of what I know in music is either self-taught or learned through experience in band settings. For years, I spent my free time researching music theory and techniques, putting them into practice through my songwriting and application.

Performing Experience:

I spent many years performing solo and with bands as a singer, pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, and drummer. Currently I am working on my own solo album where I intend to perform most if not all of the instruments. I have played a wide variety of genres, including (but not limited to): Folk, Country, Classical, Blues, Soft Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Glam Rock/Metal, Symphonic Rock/Metal, Progressive Rock/Metal, and Power Metal.

Experience Teaching:

I have been teaching since July 2013. I started with Piano and Drum lessons, but as of January 2015 I started to incorporate Beginner Guitar lessons. At the peak of my business, I have maintained an average of 20 clients per week for several months.
