My lessons are very easy to understand and put into practice. In no time you'll be jamming with your friends having a blast! If you're a straight up beginner or you've been playing since you were a kid, I've got proven lesson plans that are fun and easy to understand regardless of your skill level. I've had students that have never touched a guitar before become amazing musicians.
My background is strong in the styles of Rock, Blues, Funk and Jazz. I've been playing, teaching, performing, and recording for over twenty years and I'm confident that I can help you realize your musical goals. My style is laid back and fun, caring and understanding! You'll learn:
- Chord theory
- Scales and modes
- Improvising
- Song writing and arranging skills
- Plus harmony, ear training, and overall technique!

James C- has over 20 years of music experience in the Seattle area.
James C- is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
Over twenty year of teaching. I have toured extensivly on the West Coast. I have had private lessons as a kid and again as a young adult. I also took theory and composition classes at the community College level. I've also years of studio time as well.
Private Education:
Private lessons at age 13 to 15 and private lessons at age 23 to 27.
Performing Experience:
I started performing with my own band "The Feedback 5" when I was 11. Toured with Ron Holden and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Been in too many bands to list!
Experience Teaching:
Taught lessons for 5 years at kennelley Keys Music. Have taught lessons at Guitarville for the past 5 years. I also have been teaching out of my home studio for the last 20 years.
