I am a drummer for a few projects in Cleveland Ohio. The main project is a metal band called The Thrown. I have been playing out with that band since 2006. Currently on a hiatus. I am self taught and have been playing for 14 years. I am a good teacher with anyone who is focused and listening well. I chose to teach myself to play instead of being taught the traditional ways. If you are interested in an unorthodox style of learning and playing that is purely based on feeling, soul and passion rather than only being technically sound then I am the teacher for you. You will be taught the basics (rudiments, patterns, signatures, timing) as your foundation, all while learning to express yourself in a way that only one who craves and loves music can. Honing the skill to express yourself through an instrument like the drums will set you aside from other drummers. So if you would like to sound like a robot drumming I am not your teacher. If you are looking to learn how to play with passion and a whole world of creative possibilities then I am your teacher. Being tight and playing perfect comes with practice. That's already part of the game as a drummer. I specialize in creative drumming. Of course anyone under the age of 16 will be taught differently until they have a grasp on the skill and the drive to do more than learn the basics.
