Sara L

Sara L is a professionally trained bassoonist with a bachelor's degree education in Music History from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio. Sara grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and has been playing bassoon since the age of 14. While in high school, she attended a performing arts school and played in the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra, the City Music Center Chamber Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. Sara sat first chair in many high school PMEA honors band and orchestra festivals and was first chair in the PMEA All-State Orchestra festival in Pennsylvania in 2007. Her notable teachers include Linda Morton Fisher, Cynthia Cioffari, and Jonathan Sherwin of The Cleveland Orchestra, with who she studied with for 6 years. Sara also teaches bassoon reed making and oboe.
