Jon brings a varied teaching and performance background to students at Taylor Robinson Music. A university honors graduate in music education and former public and private school music director, he is a professional guitarist providing instruction to children, teens and adults on all levels. Beginning level lessons are offered for ukulele, mandolin, trumpet and flute as well. Jon is familiar with many musical styles but specializes in rock, country, fingerstyle, solo guitar, sight reading and music theory. Following Jon's instruction will guarantee you become the kind of player you want to be.

Professional,Knowledgeable and patient.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Jon for about 6 months. He is very knowledgeable about music and tailors the lessons to my progress. He is patient and works with my rate of advancement. I practice approximately 30 minutes a day and am getting close to being able to play and sing several songs. If I practiced more, I would be even futher along. Jon focuses on correct technique and keeping me pointed in the right direction. Without having an instructor to keep you on task with correct techiques, your learning experience will be severly handicapped. I highly recommend taking music lessons with Jon!
