Ken A.

Ken is a life-long resident of Plano and a happily divorced father of two very talented and intelligent boys (also residing in Plano). Personally, he is a a very young-spirited (age 40-something), easy-going, good-hearted, genuinely charming, and a “not-an-enemy-in-the-world” type of guy. He is shockingly witty, remarkably intelligent, extremely perceptive, incredibly patient, refreshingly optimistic, and as best as can be determined thus far, relatively (yet, arguably) sane. To sum it, on a personal level, he’s just an all-’round great guy.

Professionally speaking, Ken is a dedicated, devoted, committed, proud, enthusiastic guitar/music teacher, which most of his students (past and/or present) seem to appreciate, respect, and recognize from the start. He is, without a doubt, devoted to his craft and very obviously a teacher that truly cares about each/every student. He consciously and continually strives to improve on any & all aspects of his teaching in order to help point the way for anyone wishing to acquire exceptional guitar skills to carry along his/her journey toward the everlasting piece of mind that we all know as… music.

To date, his journey includes playing guitar for 32(+) years, teaching for 12(+) years, and playing/performing in a couple of regionally successful hard rock/funk/blues/rock bands in the Dallas area for 10(+) years. In that time, Ken has performed along-side of numerous nationally renowned artists and bands locally and while touring regionally and semi-nationally. As a member of ASCAP for the last 20(+) years, he has written (and co-written) 30-40 original songs, about half of which were recorded, published, printed to CD, and sold in national chain stores and online world-wide. He’s also appeared and performed on a few local television programs, as well as, numerous radio performances in Dallas and throughout the Southwest Region of the U.S.
