James L. Br.

Hi! My name is James. I am a professional musician and performer. I have been studying music for just over 15 years. I am a former student of Virginia State University, where I studied music performance and eduction. I actually started playing the piano in my church in Philadelphia at the age of 13. I quickly learned the art of playing the piano by ear. I have been teaching private lessons in my free time for about 8 yrs or so. I am the musical director of Seedtime and Harvest Ministries. I also have experience working with kids through the church's children's choir. Through teaching piano in various genres, I have actually come up with a district curriculum that easily sets me apart from others. I am comfortable in teaching basic theory as well as the ability to play by ear.
