My name is Jesse. I have been playing piano for 35 years and percussion for 27 years. I have been teaching for two years. I am 39 years old.
Jesse P. is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons .
Formal Education:
I pursued a Bachelor of arts in performance of piano and percussion at Otterbein University from 1995 to 1997. I then transferred to The Ohio State University where I received a Bachelor of arts degree in Political Science.
Private Education:
In high school, I studied with the late Professor George Haddad, professor emeritus at The Ohio State University and frequent piano soloist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as well as other orchestras in Canada, Europe, and the United States. In College, I studied with Dr. Richard Lopez; Music Director for the "Jazz Master Series" at The Columbus Museum of Art.
Performing Experience:
I have participated in the symphonic band in my time at both Otterbein College and The Ohio State University. I have played at numerous recitals throughout my life at Graves Piano. I performed for grades in my time at Otterbein College in both percussion and piano.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching children from the age of seven to 27 years of age.

Jesse P. has been both a Caregiver and Provider of Music Therapy for my son for the past 10 years. Starting in 2006, Jesse taught Sam percussion using drums and symbols to help him with his autistic behaviors. Since that time he continued using both percussion and piano therapy. It has been a real blessing for Sam and my family. He has the patience and empathy to really make a difference in my son's life. While my son can only read at a first grade level, he can read music sheets and play difficult concertos at recital performances. Jesse is both an outstanding piano and percussion therapist, and I would highly recommend his professional services. I highly recommend him for any parent looking for a teacher and a mentor, especially for students with special needs.
