About Me
My name is Michael. and I first picked up the guitar when I was 14. I am currently pursuing a bachelors in Music Performance in classical guitar at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have been teaching privately for about three years around El Paso. I teach everything from rock lead and rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, proper classical guitar technique and exercises, music theory, and ear training.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students should expect to learn how to read guitar sheet music and learn all the notes on the fret board as well as all possible chords from major and minor to seven chords to extensions. I am really big on my students learning how to read music no matter what they want to learn whether it be rock music, country, cssical, etc. After that the student will be able to branch out and learn everything they may want with ease.
Formal Education:
I have had some private lessons with John Siqueiros and I currently have private one on one lessons with Hiram Rodriguez, the guitar professor at UTEP.

Performing Experience:
I performed with the UTEP Choir under the direction of Dr. Elisa Wilson along with the EPSO featuring the UTEP Choirs under the direction of Bohusav Rattay. I've also performed with the UTEP Guitar Quartet at departmental recitals, student senior recitals, the UTEP Ceremonial Garden Sale and the UTEP Music Department Showcase.
Experience Teaching:
I worked as a music instructor teaching guitar and piano lessons to children ages 5-13 at a tutoring center called Smarty Pants and have given my own private guitar lessons to children and young adults mainly focusing on classical guitar playing.
