I teach bass. I am not your typical teacher that teaches bass even though they most likely are a guitarist. I have been playing and studying for over ten years, and I have played in university jazz bands and have played in the local scene as well. I currently play with a funk-rock group out of Dallas and own and operate a recording studio in Arlington, which is where I teach.
I thrive on teaching the advanced techniques and theory, but enjoy teaching all ages and skill levels. My lessons consist of:
- Music theory (and overall building blocks of the music language)
- Ear training
- Jamming and improvisation
- Bass techniques (yes slappa da bass)
- fundamentals of recording
