Corey is a classical guitarist currently based in Athens, where he completed a DMA in Guitar Performance with a minor in music composition. Corey studied under John Sutherland and Phil Snyder while at UGA and maintains a particular interest in 20th century and contemporary repertoire. As a composer, he is interested in writing solo and chamber works for the guitar that reflect the past while searching for their own voice. In addition to classical guitar pursuits, he also performs post-rock and progressive metal inspired music with Athens group Jet Engine Dragons.
