About Me
Corey is a classical guitarist currently based in Athens, where he completed a DMA in Guitar Performance with a minor in music composition. Corey studied under John Sutherland and Phil Snyder while at UGA and maintains a particular interest in 20th century and contemporary repertoire. As a composer, he is interested in writing solo and chamber works for the guitar that reflect the past while searching for their own voice. In addition to classical guitar pursuits, he also performs post-rock and progressive metal inspired music with Athens group Jet Engine Dragons.
Corey F has over 10+ years of music experience in the Athens area.
Corey F is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:

- Solo and chamber recitals throughout Georgia since 2006
- Various Rock/Metal groups since 2002

-Private lessons since 2005, all styles and ages, with a focus on sight reading and foundational skills for beginners. Specialized lessons available for Rock/Metal, Classical, acoustic, and beginner jazz
-Graduate teaching assistant from 2012-2015, teaching class guitar at UGA
